My name is Jason Loblein. I'm a senior at the Hartt school. I'm currently in the process of putting together pieces of music for my senior recital, and I'm interested in collaborating with one of your students. I'm looking for someone who is familiar with a typical VJ setup to accompany electroacoustic music. Styles could include dubstep, IDM, classical, and experimental (think Aphex Twin meets Hans Zimmer meets Amon Tobin). Some of the tracks could be accompanied by live instruments and some could incorporate live improvisation via MIDI controllers. I would like to use video collages with a dark and intense feel, that could react to impulses generated by the music. The recital would take place sometime in late spring. Please pass this along to any or all of your students whom you think would be interested.
